I had a beautiful stay at Targhee Lodge, with amazing views and a relaxing atmosphere. However, the distance to Grand Teton Park was a bit misleading, and my room did lack some modern conveniences like air conditioning. Overall, the wonderful service and amenities made up for these minor drawbacks.

The room was comfortable and clean, though it lacked air conditioning and a refrigerator. I appreciated the coffee maker, which was a nice touch.

The staff was incredibly understanding and accommodating, especially when I had to check out late due to my wife's illness. That support really made a difference.

While the resort offered stunning views, I found the drive to Grand Teton Park to be misleadingly long—it's actually about an hour and 15 minutes away.

The resort's heated saltwater pool and hot tub were fantastic and provided great relaxation after a day of exploring. I also loved that mountain biking was available via the ski lift.

I had a lovely experience at Targhee Lodge, highlighted by the very nice views and the relaxing saltwater pool. However, I was disappointed by the location, as it took significantly longer to reach the Grand Teton Park than expected, and I found the dining options quite limited. Overall, it was a nice stay but could use some improvements in accessibility and food variety.

While the scenic beauty is stunning, the resort's distance from Grand Teton Park was a bit misleading; it took over an hour to drive there.

I enjoyed the elk sausage omelet at breakfast, but the options for dinner were limited and one meal I had was too salty.

The saltwater pool and hot tub were a highlight of my stay, and the availability of activities like mountain biking and horseback riding was great.

5.2/10

My stay at Targhee Lodge was a mixed experience. The amazing hiking trails and friendly staff made for an enjoyable visit, but major construction noise was a constant issue during the day. Although the on-site dining at the Branding Iron was decent, I found myself yearning for more diverse food options after a few days. I would consider returning, but I'll be sure to inquire about ongoing construction and events beforehand. 🏞️😅

Rooms

The room I stayed in was part of an older building, but it was clean. However, the beds were quite hard, which impacted my comfort. The thin walls really meant I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms.
Service
5.0
The staff was generally friendly and helpful, but I faced a delay during check-in. It seemed like the room cleaning took longer than expected, which was frustrating after a long drive.
Location
6.0
While the scenery is stunning, I found the location to be quite far from Teton Park. The beautiful views were somewhat overshadowed by the noise from the construction ongoing during most of my stay.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited to the Branding Iron, which was good, but after two nights, I craved more variety. I ended up driving down to Driggs for more culinary choices.
Facilities

The lodge offered some great facilities like a bike wash area, which was handy after hikes. However, the ongoing construction really detracted from the overall experience.

I had an enjoyable stay at Targhee Lodge, though it wasn't without its drawbacks. The remote location was perfect for a quiet getaway, but the lack of air conditioning made for some uncomfortable nights. Overall, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the heated pool and hot tub added a nice touch to my experience.

Rooms

The room was basic but nice, albeit a bit dated. I appreciated the cleanliness, but it lacked air conditioning, which made it quite warm at night.
Service

The staff were super nice and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel welcome and assisted with any needs I had.
Location
7.0
The resort's location is a bit far up the mountain, which can be a hassle, but the stunning views make it worthwhile.
Dining
6.0
I didn't dine extensively during my stay, but the amenities available were sufficient for the remote setting.
Facilities

Facilities like the heated pool and hot tub were fantastic, although the hot tub had kids using it as a kiddie pool, which was a bit disappointing.

While the rates were reasonable and the scenic views amazing, I was a bit disappointed by the distance to Grand Teton Park—it took much longer to get there than expected. The salt water pool was a definite highlight, providing a relaxing end to our active days.
